Simple Card

Published by cwilliams under Challenge cards, cards, chit chat

Hello, okay I don’t know where the idea for this card came from but I’m sure I have seen it either on a blog or Splitcoast, I’m also sure where ever I did see it….it is a lot better than mine is. I think I have lost my mojo!! This is for today’s WT155 challenge on Splitcoast, let’s see how music inspires you is the challenge. Well the rock part of “you rock” is the music part as in like rock-n-roll music. Okay I’m officially a dork today, it maybe from the pain meds, as I think I may have over done a few things in the last couple of days, like going through all my SU Stamp Sets, I put out 80 sets for sale (See Pages for details). Okay enough chit chat on to the card……

TLC157 Challenge

Published by cwilliams under Challenge cards, cards

Good morning, today on Splitcoast is the try a new technique challenge aka…TLC. The challenge is to create a card of mixed patterns using two or more designer papers. I chose to use the new Basic Grey Two Scoops designer paper, the card base is white card stock. The flower image is from the Artfully Asian set by SU. The sentiment is from MFT Simply Said set. The pattern paper was sponged around the edges with worn lipstick distress ink with a blending tool. The pink scallop square(Nestabilities dies) is also sponged with the same distress ink. The green panel is distress with a file to bring out the white core of the paper, then I stamped the image with white craft ink and embossed with white EP. The flowers are filled in with a pink Liquid Pearls. The sentiment is stamped in black ink. The scallop is on foam mounting tape to give it some dimension. I used a black marker to make a border around the main image. The ribbon is white taffeta from SU. Okay that’s about it, thanks for stopping by!!

Feature Stamper 55

Hi, today on Splitcoast is the featured stamper challenge, Mary Jo Albright is the featured stamper this week. Yeah Mary Jo……she has a fabulous gallery. This is the card that gave me inspiration. The word Thanks is Tim Holtz grungeboard. I’ve had this grungeboard for some time now, finally getting around to using it… lol. The grungeboard is sponged with Distress ink in fired brick. I used the same layout as Mary Jo’s card but changed the pattern paper used and the ribbon. Here is what I came up with….

Thanks fs55

Most of the supplies used for this card can be

found at Rubbernecker Stamp Co.

Stamp time!!!

Hello, I’ve been feeling pretty good the last couple of days and I spent some time in my stamp room. I have 3 new cards that I can share and some others that will have to wait until the release date for MFT.

This one is pretty simple but I like the simplicity of it! I used some SU Prints Designer Series paper in Rose Red, white card base. The butterfly image is from Spellbinders, stamped on transparency with white stazon, added some stickles glitter glue for some sparkle!! The “Thank You” is hand written with a white gel pen.

Butterfly

This next one I did for a color challenge over on Splitcoast “CC152″ This cute bee image is from Rubbernecker. I colored it with reinkers and a blender pen.

Bee Day

And the last one is also for a color challenge over on Splitcoast “CC154″ The images use are from Rubbernecker. Colored in with reinkers and blender pen. I covered the martini glass with glossy accents.

Thank You cards

Published by cwilliams under Rubbernecker, cards

Good morning, I made these two cards last night when I could not sleep (2:00 am). My sleep pattern is all messed up from the surgery. I want to sleep most of the day and be awake at night….I have to admit that it is very peaceful stamping at night, there is no one to interrupt your creative flow!!

These cards are made with some Basic Grey scraps I had in my scrap bin, I needed a couple of thank you cards…..well I really need more but I have to start somewhere!! The bird image is from Rubbernecker and the sentiment is from Papertrey Inc. The cards are pretty much self-explanatory so I’ll just give you the supplies I used:

Bird Image: Rubbernecker

Sentiment: Papertrey Inc from Faux Ribbon Set

Paper: Basic Grey LilyKate

Inks: Distress inks in Vintage Photo, Dusty Concord; Adirondack in Citrus

Accessories: Piercing tool, Nestabilities, Dew Drops, Ribbon, Prima Flower, Ink Blending tool, Corner Round Punch, SU Markers.

Thanks for stopping by!!
