RAK’s and Update
Good morning, I wanted to share some of the beautiful RAK’s I have received this week. As most of you know I will be having surgery on Monday February 11th at 12:30 in the afternoon. I will be in the hospital the whole week give or take a few days. The good news is the doctors have told me it is not pancreatic cancer. The cystic mass has to be removed because for one it is making me so sick and there is a 70% chance that it could be malignant, I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. They will be doing a pancreatic resection due to the location of the mass, and I will more than likely develop diabetes because of the resection. They will be doing a complete spleenectomy also due to the location of the mass. I will be having different tests run everyday this week in preparation for the surgery. My surgeon is leaving town this week which is the reason for the delay and cause of all the testing before the surgery. He wants to be available if there are complications the week following the surgery. The surgery will take anywhere from 4-5 hours and is a very complicated surgery. If the mass is malignant, I will be receiving both chemo and radiation. Okay onto the cards…….
Thanks for stopping by, I’m hoping to have something for you later today after I go for a couple of tests!
