Featured Stamper….and Color Inspiration

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been a bad blogger! I have just been so busy I haven’t had much time to get in my studio to create anything. I have been helping my daughter with my grandson/Jovi. With a 7 month old in the house there is not much time to create. Anyhoo I did get some time in my studio today. I didn’t even no where to start, so I went and checked out who the featured stamper is this week over on Splitcoast. Maren aka mmbc is our featured stamper and she has a wonderful gallery to look through. There are so many fabulous creations to pick from but this is the one that inspired me the most! I’ve also wanted to play in one of Kristina’s color inspiration challenges. This week is color inspiration #10. The colors are Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, So Saffron and Not Quite Navy. I used all SU card stock except for the white which is by PTI. Also the stamp set is PTI Spiral Bouquet, which I’ve had forever and just now using it……there just are not enough hours in the day! I used all SU classic inks, I did add a little more mustard with the so saffron to give it some contrast. The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart which I bought at Micheal’s. The butterfly is sponged on the edges with bashful blue ink and then I covered it with my clear Copic Spica glitter pen, a very subtle sparkle. I added the butterfly trail with my bashful blue marker. The random dots are made with white opal liquid pearls and SU classic re-inkers mixed together(not quite navy & so saffron), they have a nice shimmer to them. The so saffron panel was stamped with so saffron ink and an image from the spiral bouquet set, I sponged the edges with saffron ink. I did the same thing with the bashful blue panel with bashful blue ink. The sentiment is stamped in not quite navy ink, I bent the word bloom so it would arch over the flowers. The main image panel is popped up with white foam dimensional boosters which I got from a sticky sale that Jody had on her blog. The skinny satin ribbon is from my ribbon stash. I love how this turned out and I had a blast making it!!
