Friendship “catch of the day”

Published by cwilliams under Rubbernecker, cards

Frog-1Hi everyone, here is a card that a client asked me to make for her. She wanted something with a frog on it……..she said do you have anything like that……he he……if she only knew “HOW” many stamps I have with frogs or just how many stamps I have, not just frogs!! The guy friend she is sending this to is very sick and not expected to be here to much longer…so very sad, she knows he will be in good hands with God and not in so much pain any more. She wanted bright happy colors, his favorite color is orange. I love the way this turned out and I love bright colors. I sure hope this brightens his day!!

The frog is stamped with Adirondack pitch black on PTI white cs, colored with my Copic markers, the background is airbrushed with SU re-inkers after making a mask for the frog image. I added glossy accents to the frog eyes and water. I used a silver metallic pen for parts of the fishing pole. The ribbon is from SU Ribbon Originals. The main image is matted to SU brilliant blue, the DP is also SU Jersey Shore.

Retirement Fun

Published by cwilliams under Rubbernecker, cards

RetirementHi everyone, here is a card I made up for the mailman where I work, he will be retiring on July 11th. He is the nicest man and so funny, so all the girls that work in the shopping center where I work wanted to do something nice for him. We all pitched in to get him a gift card and I was asked to make the card. He talked a lot about golf so that was my inspiration for this card. The sentiment was made on my computer, but the idea is from a Rubbernecker sentiment that says birthday instead of retirement.

The Rubbernecker image was stamped on PTI white cs (love this card stock) in Adirondack Pitch Black. Colored in with my Copic markers (love these too). The background is done again with my airbrush machine using SU re-inkers, after masking the image. The DP is from a huge pack of DP I got from Sam’s club awhile ago by My Mind’s Eye. The card stock is SU Old Olive and Not Quite Navy. Added some Dew Drops. I wanted to keep it manly so no ribbon. I needed enough room so a lot of people could sign it, so the card size is 51/2 x 51/2 square. It’s funny cause Ralph here kind of looks like are mailman….lol!!
