Treasure Hunt Tuesday

Published by cwilliams under Rubbernecker, cards

Hello and good morning, wow how time flies! I hope everyone enjoyed there holidays….I however was sick all last week with cold/flu crap that is going around. I’m still not all better but I’m getting there. With me being so sick I really haven’t had much mojo going on, I did however manage to whip up this cute little Happy New Year card for today. I used this cute party frog image from Rubbernecker, he is bringing in the new year with a cherry-tini!! I colored him with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The DP is from Basic Grey eva, I thought the colors in the paper went well with how I colored the image. The frog was cut out and popped up with foam boosters on the oval, the scallop oval & oval are done with the Spellbinders Nesties. Be sure to check out the Rubbernecker Stamps blog to find the first clue and also to see who has the candy!

Here is my card for today’s THT……not sure where I was going with this card or if I even like it? I do however love the cute snowman and love, love love the way he sparkles!!! I used SU Dazzling Diamonds on the snowman & snow on his hat. The ground snow I used glass glitter (with matte accents) the one that Anna has been using on her fabulous snowflakes! What is so funny is that I have had this glass glitter for along time now, maybe 2 or 3 years and lots of it…like 2 pounds of it…lol….anyhoo at least I’m now using it and it is so very beautiful in person, such sparkle!!

Holiday Cookie Greetings!

Published by cwilliams under Holiday Gift, Rubbernecker

Hello here is another holiday treat sample I want to share with you. The cookies in the kraft coffee bag are one of my favorite cookies that I make this time of year. I used a shipping tag to make the tag for bag of cookies. The cute little whimsical tree#36-04 on the tag is from Rubbernecker, I paper pieced the tree with the DP from My Mind’s Eye Snowed in collection. The DP on the tag is also from the same collection. The sentiment is from Rubbernecker Petite Holiday Greetings#23-11. Down on the bottom of the tag is some velvet ric rac ribbon. The snow is glass glitter, glued to white cardstock. The “25″ is Tim Holtz grungeboard plain elements, embossed in gold ep. The “Dec” is simply stated alphabet rub-ons by making memories. At the top is a snowflake button and SU gold elastic cord. The chipboard star on the tree is from my stash not sure where it’s from. I stamped a few snowflakes(Snowflakes set #53-06) on the red DP with snow cap white pigment ink, used my serrated wheel the do the faux stitching around the tag. Used the ink blending tool to do all the sponging. I just love the way this tag turned out!!

Holiday Cookies

Holiday Cookies-1

Here is the recipe for the cookies.

Oatmeal Cookies with craisins & chocolate chips

Ingredients:

2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1/2 cup flour

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/3 cup canola oil

3 egg whites

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup craisins

1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat two large baking sheets with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In a medium bowl, with wire whisk, beat the brown sugar, oil, egg whites and vanilla extract until smooth.

Stir in the craisins and chocolate chips. Stir the brown sugar mixture into the flour mixture just until blended.

Drop the batter by scant tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown. Place the cookies on racks to cool and store airtight. Makes about 18 cookies.

Now you have to eat a few to see how they turned out……..mmmmm yummy!!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a fabulous day!!

Cup of Cocoa…..

Published by cwilliams under Holiday Gift, PTI, Rubbernecker

Every year I try to make a little some thing for my clients to show how much I appreciate them. So here is one of the samples I made to share with you. I used a glassine bag that is stamped with Snowflakes set #53-06. Inside is a pack of Candy Cane Hot Cocoa with two Candy Cane sticks and some marshmallows. I used the mug from the Mug set #55-1011 kk for my tag, along with the sentiment from the Christmas mini#2 set. The ovals are made with my Nestie, the sentiment tag is done with Labels Trio. The little red button is from Basic Grey and the ribbon is from one of Jody’s ribbon shares. The mug is colored with Copic markers and I used some white puffy paint on top. The sentiment and mug were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the snowflakes are stamped with Adirondack Snow Cap pigment ink.
