Wacky Wednesday Challenge #9

 Heart Smile2

Happy Wacky Wednesday!! It’s that time again, for a Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday challenge and Bev is the Wacky Wednesday host for this week. She wants you to “heat it up”, get out your heat tool and create!! Head over to the Rubbernecker blog to check out all the details.

I used my heat tool to create an emboss resist, the background panel is stamped with an image from the flower silhouettes set (#467) and versamark, I used clear embossing powder to emboss it. I sprayed(mini misters) a mixture of  distress ink reinker, water and Ranger perfect pearls onto a craft sheet, mush(specialized technical term…lol) your embossed panel into the ink and let dry. You can see how the ink will resist where you embossed. The heart is made with a mini grungeboard heart, tiny pearls, dazzling diamonds and some glossy accents. The flowers are from Prima, then some dew drops (golden berry) in the center of the flowers. The flowers are sponged with distress ink in dried marigold. Some zig zag stitching down each side of the panel. There is a nice shimmer on the background panel, it just won’t show up in the photo!

Rubbernecker Blog Stroll, New Releases and Goodies!!

Wildflowers3-2

Today is the big day, Rubbernecker Stamp Company is releasing all the new stamp sets……..Smiley from millan.net

Mr. Rubbernecker has been working very hard for months now drawing and developing his computer skills to produce these sets!Smiley from millan.net  Also I want to mention that the May Arts Ribbon by the yard will be available April 21. It is available now only by the roll.

I had so much fun making this card, I bent the little flower image to make it go left and then right to give the same flower a different look, the middle one was left straight. They were stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink on a Spellbinders Label Four die (I just love the shape of this die) with the die still in place while stamping and then airbrushing with B01 & YG03, colored in the flowers with YR65 & E95, leaves with YG03. The flower centers are Kandi Corp Hot fix white pearls, also at the bottom of the card are the white pearls just in a bigger size. I also curved the sentiment so it wasn’t just straight across. The DP is by Crate Paper Blue Hill collection, this sheet is called grass. I used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch at the bottom and then ran it through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. I used the SU corner rounder on the card base on the bottom corners. I sponged the edges of the labels four die with antique linen distress ink and then use white foam boosters to adhere it to the center of the card. The white satin ribbon is from Rubbernecker. The card base and labels four die piece are Prism Simply Smooth White cardstock which is available at Rubbernecker.

Not only is it Wacky Wednesday but also a sneak peek of some of the awesome stamp sets that Rubbernecker will be releasing tomorrow…..Woohoo….who doesn’t love new rubber!!

Here is my first card using one of the new stamp sets and for today’s WWC, all 3 flowers are individual images also the sentiment “May your day bloom with happiness”, the flowers are colored in with Copic markers. The frame is an Ornare Square Scallop Piercing & Embossing Template that I got from Our Daily Bread. The yummy May Arts ribbon will soon be available at Rubbernecker, this ribbon does match a lot better in real life!! The frame is up on white foam boosters to give it some dimension.

Pierced Wildflowers

SUPPLIES:

  • Paper: Prism Suede Brown Dark, Baby Pink Medium, Majestic Purple Medium, Simply Smooth White

Here is another sneak peek, I used the same colors for the WWC! I just love this tall flower image so fun, there are 2 of the tall images in this set. There is a total of 9 flower images and 7 sentiments in this set!! The sentiment on this one ” Welcome to my garden!” I airbrushed the purple onto the main panel with the die still in place so that I would have the crisp white border. The colors again do match in real life, you can also see the glitter in the flower centers and on the pink glitter pearls.
