Sorry I have not been around much lately, I have had one thing after another happen, like my computer crashed had to get a new one(was with out one for 3 days…ugh!). I was in the hospital for a couple of days over Easter weekend(pancreas). Right now we have had a major leak in our roof/chimney and it is total chaos in my house. Part of my bedroom (master bedroom) ceiling fell with all this water coming down with it…ugh! The carpet was soaking wet along with all the walls   (the paint is bubbling). We/Insurance Company had to have a water damage & moisture control company come out to help dry every thing out. We still can’t sleep in the bedroom right now we are sleeping in the dining room on a air mattress, what a nightmare!! Anyhoo I just wanted to let you know if I’m not blogging much it’s cause I’m dealing with the water damage insurance claim problem!

Hello and good morning, I had some time last night to play in my studio….woohoo!! Life has been so busy lately that there has not been much time to stamp for the joy of just stamping! So here is my “just for fun” card! I colored the flowers & Butterfly (Rubbernecker images) in with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment on the side and did a little doodling on each side of the sentiment with a Copic Multi Liner 0.1 pen. The only orange grosgrain stitched edge ribbon is from My Little Ribbon Shop, the white grosgrain ribbon I got in one of Jody’s ribbon shares. The DP is from My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow collection, I just love the colors in this DP!!

I used my sewing machine to stitch around both circles. The drink was masked, then I used my airbrush machine to airbrush the background with Copic markers. The drink was colored in with Copic markers also and covered with glossy accents. I love the colors, they kind of remind me of the beach or maybe spring!

Happy Wacky Wednesday!! It’s that time again, for a Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday challenge and Shelly is the Wacky Wednesday hostess for this week. I hope you’re wearing your sunglasses cause this is one bright card…..I have a sentiment stamp that says brightest birthday wishes, I should have used that one for this bright card…LOL!!

I really don’t have a favorite technique because I like so many of them, but if I have to pick one it would be the emboss resist technique. That is what I did here with the flower image from Rubbernecker #467 flower silhouettes, the sentiment is also from the same set. I stamped with versamark on Prism simply smooth white, clear embossed, then sponged on some Adirondack Raspberry ink with the ink blending tool. I left the Spellbinders die in place while using the ink blending tool to leave a crisp white border. The clear button has the Basic Grey DP Euphoria glued to the back. I put the prongs of the brad through the button holes. I used a 1″ circle punch to punch out a half circle in the main image panel so the button would fit and could be popped up. The main image panel is also popped up with white foam boosters.
