Wacky Wednesday Challenge #18

Published by cwilliams at 4:00 am under Copics, Prism, Rubbernecker, Spellbinders, Wacky Wednesday, cards

Happy Wacky Wednesday!! It’s that time again, for a Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday challenge and Bev is the Wacky Wednesday hostess for this week. She has challenged us and you to use metal & ribbon on your card and or project. Head over to the Rubbernecker blog to check out all the details.

My hubby and I just got back from a wonderful week at the beach! The reason for me not posting for the last week. It was so nice to just sit back and relax, to just do nothing!! I read a book most of the week,”the host” by Stephenie Meyer, very interesting read! I did enjoy it. Anyhoo back to the regular scheduled program….real life……lol!!

Liberty 1

I wanted you to see the sparkle on the flame, using the Spica clear glitter pen.

Liberty 2

The Liberty banner was made with a Karen Foster silver metal tag, stamped with black stazon and the cut out.

Metal Cup Cake 1-3

Here I used a real metal/foil cup cake liner.

Very creative cards Candy, I love the bright colors, the metal liberty tag and the cupcake wrapper. Glad you had a wonderful vacation, thanks for the book review too, it’s on my reading list. I think I will have to bring it to Macinac Island with us next week.

What GREAT metal uses, Candy!! I love that patriotic card with the sparkly flame! And the cupcake card is wonderful! Love your choice of papers and the swirls on the background!

(I LOVED “The Host”! Even better than the Twilight series! More grownup, I guess! LOL!)

I can’t believe your cupcake card! I made one VERY similar and mailed it to a friend today! Mine was an altered toilet paper tube. I had a pull out for Coconut cupcakes recipe and on the front cut part of a cupcake themed liner and added a top similar to yours. Ü I didn’t get it scanned as I needed to get it in the mail.

Oh how clever!! Love, love, love your real cupcake tin! Totally unexpected goodness, Candy! And the layered pieces behind the liberty image are wonderful! Woooohoooooooooooooo!!
