Hi all, I have a quick post & a cute card to share with you today. I just love this Rubbernecker image and I can’t believe I have not used it before today, I think I just needed some hot bikini weather….not that I wear one…..lol!!! I used the colors from this weeks color challenge over on Splitcoast CC212. The ribbon is colored with a Copic marker to match, very cool technique!!
I’m so excited….Rubbernecker will be releasing some fabulous new stamp sets next week, so be sure to check out the Rubbernecker blog!! Did you see all the beautiful background images that were released on Wednesday……if not what are you waiting for go check them out here!!!!

I want to get a photo of the sparkle on both bikinis(red dots & butterflies), the glossy accents that I put on the flip flop hearts and also the liquid pearls (White Opal) on the beads of the flip flops

Here is the inside of the card…..

I added some sparkle to the green palms and on the beach sand. I thought this would make a cute card for someone going a trip to some where sunny…lol!!

Hello I had some time to play in my studio today, went and checked out the color challenge(CC207) over on Splitcoast. The colors for today are Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss or Old Olive. Here is what I came up with…….

I colored the beautiful sunflowers in with Copic markers, used some green ric rac ribbon for the grass. The sentiment is punched out with a SU 1 1/4 circle punch, added some brown/copper rhinestones(Kaiser) up in the corner. The leaf/stem by the sentiment is cut out a little bit to let it lay on top of the sentiment circle with my kraft knive.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a fabulous day!!

Hello everyone, life has been very crazy busy for me! Today I finally got some time to get in my studio and play…woohoo! I went and checked out the featured stamper challenge over on Splitcoast and Becca Stamps is the featured stamper for this week, her blog is called Amazing Paper Grace and what an amazing gallery she has!!! Here is the card she made that inspired me to make this one…..

The bird image is actually a humming bird image from Rubbernecker but I wanted a dove so I’m calling this bird a Dove….lol!
The base of this is shimmer white cardstock and then SU Night of Navy cardstock. The main image panel is PTI linen vellum cardstock, which I used a rub-on up in the corner from K&Company, also the pearls. The dove is stamped on shimmer white cardstock and cut out, popped up on foam tape. I used a blue & orange Copic marker on the dove. The sentiment is a circle sticker from Design Originals, the scallop circle is punched with the yellow marvy punch, from PTI linen vellum. Used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge punch and some white shimmer grosgrain ribbon at the bottom. The leaf the dove is holding is a punch.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a fabulous day!!

It’s that time again! The 20th of the month rolled around and it’s time for the SCS Dirty Dozen & Alumni’s September challenge.
Where Did All The Layers Go?
Challenge Focus: Create a NO LAYER card any size, any color. Your card base is it - no additional layers of card stock or designer paper at all.
Required Element: Masking - use masking or reverse masking in some way to create your design.
Restricted Element: No use of the color pink (any shade)
And here is what I came up with for this month’s challenge………
Mr. T Gangster Cow with all his bling and gold tooth………lol…..I crack myself up sometimes….hehe! I used masking, reverse masking and also dry embossing with my oval nestie. The blue background is airbrushed on using the reverse masking and also masking the cow. I made the black line using a black atyou spica glitter pen. The gold chain and gold tooth are colored in with a yellow/gold gelly roll glitter pen. The sunglasses are covered with glossy accents.
